During her June 1 appearance on The Tonight Show, Tina Fey said she still keeps in touch with several of her former Saturday Night Live colleagues and revealed the surprising name of their group chat. The thread, Fey explained, includes Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, Rachel Dratch, Maya Rudolph and longtime SNL writer Paula Pell, and is called "The SNL Tang." Fey called the name "unfortunate" and said Paula Pell named it; she added bluntly, "It's short for poontang." Host Jimmy Fallon reacted with a mix of mortification and amusement, saying, "Oh my God," and teasing, "Paula, you're in trouble again!" Fey also showed off custom merchandise made to celebrate her friends' Broadway runs, presenting Fallon with a mug reading "SNL Tang on Broadway" in what she described as "the cheesiest font." She said the mug was free merch, and Fallon replied, "I will cherish this.

I love everybody in that group text." It has been a busy year for the SNL Tang ladies: Gasteyer is performing in Schmigadoon!
