Time-bending RPG from Fallout veteran has slowly unfolding choices
Clockwork Revolution, from a veteran Fallout developer, centres on time travel whose effects can play out across an entire run. Game director Chad Moore laid out how choices and consequences work in a blog post after the steampunk title's appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase.
Players wield a device called the Chronometer to tinker with time. One showcased power, Displace, lets you pick up an object and set it elsewhere — useful for moving explosive barrels behind foes or placing a turret in view of enemies. Moore warns that when you change the past, "the crew you come back to might not be the same one you left." The city's ruler, Lady Ironwood, can also rewind clocks to protect her grip on power, reshaping the past to keep her preferred future intact.
