Tifa Lockhart joins Street Fighter 6 in Final Fantasy crossover
Final Fantasy 7's Tifa Lockhart is coming to Street Fighter 6. Capcom announced the addition at Summer Game Fest 2026 after weeks of speculation prompted by a reliable leaker, Rnk_Clan, who had highlighted Tifa in what they claimed was the Year 4 Pass lineup. Square Enix's Naoki Hamaguchi appeared on stage and said Tifa has been "redesigned as Tifa the Street Fighter," with a kit that includes elements from elsewhere in Final Fantasy.
Capcom did not announce a release date, and said the rest of the pass lineup includes: Yasmin Arjun Bosch. Square Enix has lent characters to fighting games before: Noctis from Final Fantasy 15 joined Tekken 7 in 2018, and Final Fantasy 16's Clive Rosfield was added to Tekken 8 in 2025.
Player data showed Clive was the most popular guest in Tekken 8, and far more people picked him up than Noctis in Tekken 7.
