Thief gets a graphic novel and new soundtrack alongside Nightdive remaster

Thief is enjoying a burst of activity: Nightdive Studios announced a remaster of Thief: The Dark Project at the PC Gaming Show, and last month many of the series' original creators released a new stealth game, Thick as Thieves. Now the franchise is expanding into comics with an officially licensed graphic novel.

Bit Bot Media has teamed up with Eidos-Montreal, the developers of the not great, not terrible 2014 Thief reboot, to produce Thief: Pulse of Promise. The story is set between Thief: The Dark Project and Thief 2: The Metal Age, which suggests it will follow the original Garrett rather than the 2014 version, and the cover art channels the look and mood of the first two games.

Pulse of Promise is being crowdfunded via BackerKit and the campaign will offer a range of extras, including a statue, replicas, clothing, a plush, and an original soundtrack by Celldweller that features a new performance by Stephen Russell.
