Thibaut Courtois says his long-term future at Real Madrid rests with the club, even as he dreams of finishing his career at the Bernabeu. The 34-year-old Belgian remains widely regarded as one of the premier goalkeepers in world football. Under contract until June 2027, Courtois reflected on his eight years in Madrid since leaving Chelsea and emphasised his emotional connection to the club.

"It depends on what the club wants," he said, adding: "I hope to be able to finish my career there, in four or five years, we'll see. It's my dream, obviously." He acknowledged the pragmatic reality of football and the need for long-term planning, while his recent form suggests he has several years left at a high level.

After a difficult start at the club, he became an undisputed starter and a hero of the 2022 Champions League final, making 32 La Liga appearances this season.
