They Will Kill You is perfect for Ready or Not fans

They Will Kill You made its streaming debut on HBO Max earlier this week and, after mostly flying under the radar when it premiered in theaters in March 2026, it quickly became the No. 1 most-streamed film on HBO Max worldwide per FlixPatrol. Produced by Andy Muschietti alongside Barbara Muschietti and Dan Kagan, the film mixes horror, comedy and action in a way that recalls Kill Bill and Ready or Not.

Zazie Beetz plays Asia Reaves, an ex-convict who answers an ad to work as a housekeeper in a New York high-rise community called Virgil, only to discover its wealthy residents are part of a satanic cult set on sacrificing her. Writer-director Kirill Sokolov shoots the violence with a comic sensibility — at times evoking '60s Batman with far more blood — and leans into gross-out moments, including a scene involving an eyeball.
