'The Vampire Diaries' Reunion Officially Set at Hulu

Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev will reunite in You Deserve to Know, a new series in development at Hulu. The duo starred as Stefan Salvatore and Elena Gilbert on The Vampire Diaries, and their romantic entanglement provided much of the show's drama. In the new series, they play two suburban neighbors on opposite sides of a murder investigation.

You Deserve to Know is based on the 2025 novel by Aggie Blum Thompson and centers on Gwen (Dobrev), a suburban wife and mother whose husband is tragically murdered. Can she rely on her two best friends, or will their hidden secrets shatter their bond forever?

Brian Tanen will write the series and executive produce with Unwell’s Alex Cooper, Matt Kaplan and Mina Lefevre, Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan, and Thompson. Kapital’s Jaiden Kaplan and Dylan Hammalian and Unwell’s Paul Kim and Kendall Boucher will co-executive produce. You Deserve to Know is in development at Hulu; no release date has yet been announced.
