The Night Agent will bring back Rose for its final season

Netflix has said The Night Agent will conclude with a fourth season, and the streamer has confirmed, per Deadline, that Luciane Buchanan will reprise her role as Rose in that final installment. Viewers had wondered whether the character written out in Season 3 would return, and this announcement answers that question.

Rose is central to the series’ arc: she called Peter Sutherland in Season 1 and pulled him into the larger conspiracy, a chain of events that led to his promotion and place at the story’s center. Bringing her back gives the show an opportunity to come full circle.

Although Rose did not appear on screen in Season 3, the season kept her presence alive in Peter’s life as he dealt with loneliness and change. Her absence allowed the series to explore his growth, and showrunner Shawn Ryan had signaled that a return was possible.
