The Legend of Kitchen Soldier Surges on Streaming Ahead of Finale
The Legend of Kitchen Soldier has surged on streaming since its May 11 premiere. It spent two weeks at No. 1 on South Korea’s TVING, drawing 121.26 million views in its first week. The series streams on HBO Max in 17 countries and regions in Asia‑Pacific and reached No.

Adapted from J Robin's web novel, the story follows Kang Seong‑jae (Park Ji‑hoon), a young man who joins the army after his father's death and is posted to the Ganglim Outpost.
Despite excelling in training, Seong‑jae is assigned to the kitchen because of his fragile mental state. There a mysterious virtual screen tasks him with cooking for his fellow soldiers, elevating him to the base’s star chef and sending him down a fantastical path.
