Comp stomp—loading into a map with friends to face only AI opponents—often feels hollow in an RTS, with bots that either try and fail to mimic humans or simply cheat. Dawn of War 2’s The Last Stand sidesteps those problems by turning the idea into a focused, cooperative survival challenge: you control a lone commander unit and fend off escalating waves of enemies until the team is overwhelmed.

The mode keeps the approachable chill of co-op while demanding real teamwork. Early waves are manageable, but later rounds introduce artillery, grenade-armed infantry, anti-everything monsters and even clones of your own characters that can revive and use your gear against you.

Surviving all 20 waves requires kiting, clever use of abilities and coordinated play, and the scoring system rewards teams that hold control points, avoid deaths and clear waves quickly.
