The East Palace: Netflix's 8-Episode Dark Action Fantasy Now Streaming

With the fifth and final season of The Witcher on the horizon, Netflix has added a new action fantasy to its lineup: The East Palace, an eight-episode Korean period drama debuting on the streaming service today (Jul. 17). The series invites viewers to step beyond the real world into the spirit realm alongside Gu-cheon, a highly skilled ghost-slaying swordsman.

Gu-cheon traverses the shadowy spirit realm known as the "Realm of Gwi" to cut down ghosts that stray too close to the living. He is aided by Saeng-gang, a court lady who can hear the voices of the dead, and the pair are summoned by the king to unravel long-buried secrets.
