The Boroughs Tops Netflix Global Chart; Nemesis Falls to No. 2
After briefly reaching number one on Netflix's Global Top 10, the crime thriller Nemesis has dropped to second place. The series, which debuted on May 14 and reached the top spot after 11.4 million views between May 18 and May 24, stars Matthew Law and Y'lan Noel and was created by Tani Marole and Courtney A.
Kemp. Often compared to Michael Mann's Heat, Nemesis follows a master thief and the LAPD lieutenant determined to catch him; it holds an 80% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 52% audience score. Premiering on May 21, The Boroughs has taken over the top position.
Created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews and executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, the sci‑fi series stars Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Denis O'Hare, and Clarke Peters and centers on residents of a retirement community facing an alien threat that wants their time.
