The 9 games we're most excited about after Summer Game Fest's showcase bonanza
Geoff Keighley is back together with Hideo Kojima, and that can only mean one thing—Summer Game Fest has come and gone. Nearly 20 showcases and spotlights, including the Future Game Show by GamesRadar, and hundreds of trailers left players with plenty to add to their Steam wishlists.
Standouts included Persona 6, whose brief teaser leans darker and almost SMT‑adjacent with graveyards and occult vibes; Tenebris Somnia, a 2D survival horror from Argentina that mixes puzzle‑solving, zombies and practical FMV sequences and is due in October; Alien: Isolation 2, which hints that the alien will stalk both outdoor and claustrophobic spaces; and Nightdive’s remaster of Thief: The Dark Project, planned for this winter and notable for the return of Stephen Russell and Terri Brosius.
