Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent launches on PC during PC Gaming Show
Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent, a tactical RPG based on the 2005 board game Descent: Journeys in the Dark, launched during the PC Gaming Show and is available now on Steam.
The game adapts the tabletop dungeon‑crawling setup—players traditionally face an Overlord who controls enemies—but the digital version replaces the player‑led Overlord with a single big bad. You can play solo or team up with up to three other players online, selecting from eight adventurers who each offer distinct backgrounds and combat styles.
Terrinoth tells an original story set one year before the events of Descent: Legends of the Dark and offers both a full campaign and shorter story quests that can be completed in a single session. The turn‑based combat is designed to ease new players in while rewarding attention to elevation and sightlines.
There are 20 dungeons to explore, each with fully voiced storylines, characters to meet, and unique biomes. Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent is out now on Steam.
