Teaser offers first look at live-action Prince Adam, allies and Battle Cat

Polygon reports a teaser for the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie offers the first official glimpses of live-action Prince Adam, Man-at-Arms, Teela and a computer-generated Battle Cat.

The brief look includes shots of Nicholas Galitzine's Prince Adam, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms and Camila Mendes as Teela, and a CG Cringer/Battle Cat that echoes the character's memorable design; a full reveal of He-Man and Jared Leto's Skeletor remains under wraps. The film will follow a 10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword, the only link to Eternia, and after tracking it down almost two decades later is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against Skeletor. Masters of the Universe is directed by Travis Knight and is based on a screenplay by Chris Butler.

Amazon MGM Studios is promising to fully reveal the movie's look on Thursday morning. The property began as a 1982 Mattel action-figure line and the original animated series ran for two seasons across 130 episodes, spawning spinoffs and sequel series, and the new film is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 5, 2026.
