Tearful Caroline Kennedy breaks silence on daughter Tatiana Schlossberg's death
Caroline Kennedy teared up as she spoke at the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award ceremony, welcoming Emma Shriver and Garrett and Mary Moran and paying tribute to her daughter. "Most of all, we remember Tatiana who served on the board of this library and represented everything my parents stood for in her beautiful, amazing, and too short life," she said, appearing to get choked up.
Tatiana Schlossberg passed away on Dec. 30, 2025, at the age of 35. "Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning," the JFK Library Foundation, on behalf of Schlossberg’s extended family, announced via Instagram at the time. "She will always be in our hearts." Her death came one month after she publicly announced a battle with acute myeloid leukemia; doctors had told her she had one year to live.
Physicians discovered the disease after she welcomed her second baby in May 2024. Schlossberg shared son Edwin, 4, and daughter Josephine, 2, with her husband George. A private funeral on Jan. 5 at the Church of St.
