Recent price checks found several SSDs 50–60% higher than earlier reviews, but Team Group's T-Force G50 4TB is currently listed on Newegg with promo code FTT462 for $400, versus a typical price around $500 and peaks near $520. At that price the drive works out to $0.099 per gigabyte, finally breaking the 10-cent-per-GB barrier.

The trade-off is the sizable upfront cost required to reach those savings. Under the hood the G50 uses InnoGrit's IG5220 controller in a 12 nm DRAM-less design that relies on HMB instead of onboard cache, paired with two 2 TB packages of YMTC's 128-layer 3D TLC NAND.

Sequential speeds are listed at 5,000 MB/s read and 4,500 MB/s write, marking it as an entry-level PCIe 4.0 drive; it isn’t the fastest, but endurance is notably higher than the G50 Evo's QLC. The single-sided 4 TB module fits smaller systems like the PlayStation 5 and many gaming laptops, making it a solid option if you need ample space for a large game library.
