Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to wed at Madison Square Garden
Multiple people say Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will marry at Madison Square Garden in Midtown Manhattan, the arena that hosts the Knicks, Rangers and numerous concerts, including Swift’s. Privacy was reportedly their top priority; plans would move guests on blacked-out buses and make use of MSG’s multiple entrances and high-security infrastructure.
The venue has no events from June 29 through July 6, and one person noted, 'If you have billions you can transform the space into a wedding venue.' The couple are said to be planning a New York wedding over the July 3rd weekend. They were in the city in May—dining at spots such as Or’esh and Via Carota and visiting Sartiano’s—and were spotted in Brooklyn on May 16 and around the city on May 15 as speculation mounted they were overseeing preparations.
Swift has performed at Madison Square Garden eight times — once for 2009’s 'Fearless' tour, twice for 'Speak Now,' and four times for the Z100 Jingle Ball — and TMZ reported the venue was under consideration.
