Taylor Swift announces original 'Toy Story 5' song 'I Knew It, I Knew You'

Taylor Swift confirmed on Instagram that she wrote an original song for Toy Story 5 titled 'I Knew It, I Knew You.' She wrote that the track for Disney and Pixar's film will be released on June 5. Swift said she has "always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who [she has] adored since [she] was a 5 year old kid watching the first 'Toy Story' movie." She added that she "fell instantly in love with 'Toy Story 5'" after seeing an early screening and wrote the song as soon as she got home.

Pre-orders are available exclusively on her site, and the film opens in theaters June 19. Images shared on her post teased original, piano and acoustic versions of the song, and she linked to three collector's edition CDs described as "each with unique vocals and production." Swift noted the song begins streaming Friday.

Fans had speculated about the announcement after a brief Toy Story–themed countdown on her website and an outfit that echoed the film's colors.
