Task Bar Hero Rune

The Task Bar Hero Rune system lets you gradually upgrade your party’s resource gathering and combat strength. As you earn more gold from kills you unlock more Runes, which in turn help you earn additional gold—so progression often means spending gold to make more gold.

Many Runes are hidden behind others and some are expensive, so choosing where to spend early on can be unclear. Once the Rune menu opens at level 3 you can begin buying upgrades. The first purchase must be the Rune of War for 100 Gold, which then reveals two paths: upward toward the Rune of Wealth and downward toward the Rune of Growth.

The Wealth path focuses on raising Gold income, chest drop rates and inventory space, while the Growth path increases XP gains and improves combat capabilities. Focusing on the upper Wealth path early is generally useful because extra gold helps you afford more Rune upgrades sooner.
