Switch 2 Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD gets limited 25th-anniversary slipcover
A new Switch 2 release of the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is listed on Amazon Japan for $43 and includes a unique slipcover featuring new 25th Anniversary commemorative artwork. The edition is not yet available physically in the US or UK, so fans outside Japan will need to import a copy if they want the special sleeve.
The official Final Fantasy X 25th Anniversary site shows the new illustration of Tidus and Yuna across a range of merch, including Final Fantasy TCG card sleeves. This depiction contrasts with the blue-toned art used when the HD remasters first released in 2014, although that older art appears on one slide of the special included sleeve.
Rather than a full cartridge, the Switch 2 release is a game-key card and the slipcover appears to be cardboard; the official producer page notes players will still need 30GB of space on their handheld to download both games. That combination of format and shipping considerations is prompting collectors to weigh whether the artwork alone justifies importing.
