Microsoft sells the Surface Laptop 15-inch with Snapdragon X Elite, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD for $2,199. Amazon has reduced that price to $1,229, a $970 drop that requires Prime membership; the 30-day trial runs without a card. This 2024 Surface Laptop is a 15-inch Copilot+ PC with a touchscreen and up to 20 hours of battery life.

Microsoft claims its performance beats the MacBook Air M3. The Snapdragon X Elite 12-core processor is built on ARM with a dedicated NPU delivering 45 trillion operations per second, handling Copilot+ AI features on-device while preserving ARM-style battery efficiency.

The HDR touchscreen with ultra-thin bezels enables direct touch interaction, drawing and annotation; the 1TB SSD and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM support multitasking and AI workloads. It ships with Windows 11 Home and full Copilot+ capabilities—Recall, live captions, image creation and other AI-enhanced productivity features that run locally on the NPU.
