Supergirl's Ending Changes Everything for the DCU's Future
Milly Alcock’s Supergirl opens with Kara Zor‑El trying to enjoy a solitary pub crawl with Krypto when she is recruited by Ruthye Marye Knoll, who wants revenge for her parents’ deaths. The culprit is Brigand leader Krem of the Yellow Hills, who shoots Krypto with a poisoned dart and forces Kara to secure an antidote within days.
Stripped of her powers on a red planet, drunk and without her hijacked ship, Kara and Ruthye are pushed to travel across bleak worlds to save Krypto. The final leg finds them on a planet with two suns: a yellow sun that restores Kara’s strength and a green sun that slowly kills her.
Ruthye is captured and jailed alongside Lobo, whose cell is coated in the same poison coursing through Krypto. Supergirl returns, donning her iconic suit, and a violent battle erupts: Krem’s brigands use kryptonite‑infused darts, Lobo intervenes, and the ship is set alight.
