Summer Game Fest 2026: Major game reveals and release dates

Summer Game Fest opened with a two-hour showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley and Lucy James, delivering a steady stream of game updates, world premieres and surprises that evoked the heyday of big industry shows. The event closed with a full reveal of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, and other headline announcements included a new Resident Evil remake, a new Cuphead title, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adaptation.

Square Enix confirmed Final Fantasy 7 Revelation as the third and final chapter of the remake project, to be released simultaneously across all platforms in spring 2027. Capcom unveiled Resident Evil Veronica, a reimagining of Code Veronica starring Claire Redfield, due in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.

Studio MDHR showed Mighty Cuphead Adventure, calling it "very different" and a homage to the era that inspired the team.
