Steam Next Fest's top-played demos include one with an AI disclosure

Valve has revealed the ten most played Steam Next Fest demos. Bandai Namco's Sword Art Online RPG Echoes of Aincrad is drawing a lot of attention, alongside a chill but gruelling offroad title from the Art of Rally creators, a Soulslike extraction RPG, and a new 6v6 shooter from the Splitgate studio.

The full list also includes an RTS, a heavy turret simulator, a whimsical friendslop about monkeys defusing bombs, a four-player co-op Cthulhu-adjacent treasure hunt, Nexon's dark fantasy MMO Embers of the Uncrowned, and a survival platformer called Casualties: Unknown.

Only one of those ten demos carries an AI disclosure: Embers of the Uncrowned. The disclosure reads: "During the development and live service of the game, AI-based tools may be utilized to support in-game visual content creation, marketing materials, live chat translation features, and partial in-game dialogue and script localization.
