Valve has said the Steam Frame will launch sometime this summer, and a recent shipping manifest suggests the headset may arrive in US warehouses very soon. A post on X shows five separate imports from Quanta Computing landing at a Valve facility, a company that did not work on the earlier Valve Index and so is likely tied to the new Frame.

Each shipment is listed at roughly 6,400 kg, for about 32,000 kg in total. When the Steam Controller reached American warehouses it went on sale around a month later, and the large package sizes here point to units destined for customers rather than for testing.

The Frame itself appears to weigh just under 450 g. Using a hypothetical box weight of about 800 g, the manifest could represent roughly 40,000 boxed units. A separate line in the document references a "Game Console" weighing 12,647 kg, a figure open to interpretation between a Steam Machine or a resupply of Steam Decks, the latter of which did sell out in North America after a price increase.
