Star Wars Zero Company confirms August 27 launch and Anakin cameo
At the 2026 Summer Game Fest a new trailer for Star Wars: Zero Company revealed an August 27 launch date and an appearance by Anakin Skywalker.
The footage balanced gameplay and cinematic set pieces, leaning into Star Wars aesthetics and fan service. It also showed a wider range of custom character options than previously seen, including custom-built clone troopers alongside alien mercenaries.
A February hands-on at Bit Reactor HQ left a strong impression: Zero Company plays like Star Wars XCOM but adds many RPG elements, with Mass Effect-style story squad mates, loyalty missions, conversations, punishing permadeath and cinematic exploration between tactical battles.
Based on that hands-on, the game appears well positioned to hit its August 27 release. Zero Company is available to wishlist on Steam.
