Star Trek: Strange New Worlds returns with Season 4 trailer
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, a prequel set aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise years before James T. Kirk, returns for Season 4. The series earned near-universal praise early on, with Rotten Tomatoes scores of 98% and 97% for its first two seasons. Anson Mount is back as Captain Christopher Pike alongside Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck's Spock, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun and Martin Quinn.
Paramount+ has released the first trailer for Season 4. The 10-episode season will roll out weekly on Thursdays from July 23 through September 24. New footage leans toward action-adventure over the showy one-offs that shaped recent seasons, while the official synopsis promises a crew that will "battle inner demons and external threats," reunite with familiar faces, and confront new aliens.
Guest stars Carol Kane and Paul Wesley return, with Wesley's young Kirk reminding viewers where the story is headed.
