Star Fox, an oddly photorealistic remake of Star Fox 64 for the Switch 2, is out today. It arrives as a modernized reimagining that doesn’t try to fix what isn’t broken.

One new addition is an Avatar feature that uses a camera to let players VTube as Fox and the rest of the cast. The avatars swap your face with any character and mirror expressions, including obvious gestures like sticking your tongue out or puffing your cheeks.

Within hours of release, players were already using the avatars for hijinks. Fans are acting out skits and impressions that push the characters into unexpected lines — one clip even makes Falco sound like an anti-vaxxer.

Those gag clips and reaction images seem likely to spread, and it’s notable Nintendo didn’t follow the Tomodachi Life route of restricting sharing so no one could post videos of Fox McCloud swearing, or worse.
