Spider-Noir's Multiverse Link Hidden in Plain Sight
Spider-Noir clearly belongs to the Marvel multiverse, but the series is coy about the connection. Nicolas Cage's Ben Reilly lives in a 1930s-inspired reality that largely avoids the more overtly sci-fi elements of other Marvel entries, yet the pilot quietly cements ties to the interconnected universes seen elsewhere.
Ruby J. Williams is introduced as Ben's late love, and her death functions as his Canon Event. The animated Spider-Verse films named that idea: web-slingers across realities suffer a loss that drives them to act, and moments around those losses often include the line, "With great power comes great responsibility." In Spider-Noir's opening episode we learn Ruby spoke those exact words to Ben before she died, making her loss his Canon Event.
What makes Ben's situation different is that Ruby appears to have said those words while he was already an active masked vigilante.
