Spider-Man: Brand New Day set new pre-release records, with its second trailer drawing 590.8 million views in the first week — the second-biggest trailer debut ever. Its first trailer earlier this year became the first to pass one billion views in just four days.

First-day advance ticket sales were the biggest for any movie since Spider-Man: No Way Home. Those figures position the film for a major opening weekend; it could challenge Toy Story 5 as the biggest debut of 2026 and has a strong shot of topping Deadpool & Wolverine’s $211.4 million opening, even if it falls short of No Way Home’s $260 million.

The movie will not have access to IMAX screens because of The Odyssey. The attention also reflects a broader MCU rebound that began with Thunderbolts in 2025 and continued with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Wonder Man, and Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, boosting confidence ahead of Avengers: Doomsday later in the year.
