'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Cast May Have Teased Gray Hulk
Mark Ruffalo is confirmed to reprise his role as Dr. Bruce Banner in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, though the Hulk persona has been mostly absent from the marketing (a LEGO set confirmed his appearance). After tickets went on sale, the cast sat down with Fandango.
When Tom Holland said, "The Hulk is green," Zendaya asked, "Is he though? I don't know." Jacob Batalon then mentioned how the Hulk has many different colors before Holland quickly stated, "I didn’t say that, by the way, they said that!." Though not confirmation, this exchange might hint the MCU could introduce the original Gray Hulk.
When the Hulk debuted in The Incredible Hulk #1 in 1962, he was depicted as gray, but printers struggled to keep the color consistent and he showed a slight green hue; the character gained his signature green in the second issue. Marvel later revisited the Gray Hulk as one of the Hulk's personas, who took the identity of Joe Fixit in Las Vegas as an enforcer—more intelligent than the Savage Hulk but slightly weaker.
