Amazon's Prime Day sale is over, but Sony TV discounts remain limited. If you've been eyeing the Bravia 8 II as an upgrade, the 65-inch model is $600 off when buying directly from Sony in a competing Prime Day deal. The 55-inch is also reduced by $300, though both sizes still sell for over $2,200 with these discounts.

I tested the Bravia 8 II in the lab and was very impressed with the picture quality. The panel renders darker blacks than some OLEDs from LG and Samsung, but it offers extensive picture controls so you can fine-tune performance for streaming or console gaming. Audio can be adjusted to take full advantage of Acoustic Surface Audio+ alongside Dolby Atmos.

Sony places small actuators behind the OLED panel so the screen itself acts as a speaker, producing object-tracking sound that creates an immersive experience without separate home audio equipment and keeps audio and video tightly synced.
