Solo Leveling season 3 given 2027-28 release window

It has been well over a year since Solo Leveling season 2 ended. Screen Rant gives the third season a 2027-2028 release window, matching earlier rumors that it would arrive around the 2028 Olympics.

The President of Crunchyroll recently reassured fans that the season is actively being worked on. The anime debuted in 2024 and returned for season 2 in 2025, so expectations for a quick follow-up were high; nonetheless, a roughly three-year gap between seasons is common in animation.

A-1 Pictures, the studio behind Solo Leveling, will have a panel at Anime Expo 2026 and may provide a first look or even a trailer to tide viewers over until 2027-2028.

Solo Leveling remains Crunchyroll's most-streamed show, propelled by season 2, and it won multiple 2025 Anime Awards: Anime of the Year, Best New Series, Best Action Anime, and Best Main Character (Sung Jinwoo). Season 3 does not yet have a firm release date.
