Solo Leveling's Japanese Print Run Ends with Final Volume
Solo Leveling's Japanese print run concludes with its final volume on June 23, 2026, nearly seven years after the series first appeared in Japan. The edition launched through Kadokawa on December 23, 2019, and will finish with Volume 25. The property began as a web novel by Chugong that ran from July 2016 to March 2018, followed by a manhwa adaptation from Redice Studio that ran from March 2018 to December 2021.
By the time the Japanese edition arrived the series already had strong momentum, but Japan’s role in the global rise of Solo Leveling has been significant. Japan’s release wraps at 25 volumes while other editions collect the story in 15; the difference comes down to format.
Japanese manga volumes tend to be smaller, so the same material was split into more compact releases to fit local reading habits. The Japanese edition has sold more than 3.8 million copies, and the final volume is expected to push sales closer to — or beyond — the 4 million mark.
