Skyscraper-shaped custom PC at Computex recreates Taipei night market
A custom PC at Computex turns a touchscreen case into a Taipei night market diorama, centering on a light-up, 3D-printed Taipei 101 with a tiny Alex Honnold clinging to its side. The American rock climber free soloed the 1,667-foot skyscraper back in January, and Netflix has a special on it.
The build was exhibited at Hyte's booth and created by hardware creator Zoë Baye. Like other projects from the pair behind Zombie Tech Gaming—Zoë Baye and her husband Brandon Ayala—the Computex build is based on the Hyte Y70 Touch PC case. An animated graphic on the touchscreen simulates elevators moving up and down the miniature tower, and tiny, 3D-printed signage highlights the couple's business along with lit-up mentions of Hyte and sister brand iBuyPower.
Around the base are shrunk-down shop fronts shaded by 3D-printed, hand-painted Hokkien-style roofs, with AC units and light-box street signs on the walls.
