Ben Stiller says he’s been filming Knicks action for an HBO documentary
Ben Stiller confirmed during an appearance on ESPN's "NBA Tip-Off" that the viral courtside iPhone videos he’s been shooting at Madison Square Garden are part of an HBO documentary. When Kenny "The Jet" Smith raised the topic, co-host Shaquille O'Neal admonished him for mentioning a project that hasn't been announced.
"Thank you, my PR person, Shaq," Stiller joked, then admitted, "There's a project in the works. But look, I'd be doing it anyway. It is part of a bigger project. [Being courtside] is insane… It's fun to be able to share it with people." Stiller was courtside for the Knicks' dramatic Game 4 comeback, a night packed with celebrities.
One Hollywood heavyweight said trying to exit MSG after the game took an hour — "I don't care who you were, even if you were famous, you were f–ked!" The actor was also seen the next day using the Knicks' run to promote his soda line, handing out refreshments in front of the New York or Nowhere store in Nolita, which does collaborations with the Knicks and other local teams.
