I'm lazy about tech upkeep, and the SIVGA M260 wired earbuds fit that low-effort approach. They use a USB-C cable so there’s no charging to manage: plug them into the bottom of a phone or the top of a Switch 2 and go. At $45 on Amazon, they’re far cheaper than the $199.99 wireless buds I usually use, and they might get even cheaper once the Prime Day gaming deals roll out later this month.

Using wired buds has eased a bit of my day-to-day stress. On a long train journey I only have to worry about my phone’s battery, and the small fabric case makes them easy to stow away—less fancy than the plastic case for my SteelSeries Arctis Nova Game Buds, but practical.

They’re very comfortable and the 14.2mm Dynamic drivers deliver impressive sound; if the Mario Kart World OST had come out sounding distorted, I wouldn’t be recommending them. There are annoyances. The included MMCX detachable cable can snag on the ends of a jacket and occasionally yank the buds out of my ears.
