Sisu: Road to Revenge finds streaming success after box office flop
Sisu: Road to Revenge, released on November 21, 2025, runs 89 minutes and brings back Jorma Tommila as Aatami Korpi, a mysterious former World War II commando bent on vengeance. The film continues the story introduced in 2022’s Sisu and follows Korpi as he pursues the officer responsible for his family’s murder.
Written and directed by Jalmari Helander, the sequel adds Stephen Lang as the primary villain, Igor Draganov. Returning to the house where his family was killed, "the man who refuses to die" dismantles it, loads it on a truck and sets out to rebuild it; when the Red Army commander who killed his family returns, a relentless cross-country chase unfolds.
The film underperformed in theaters, grossing around $10 million against a budget of just over $12 million, but critics warmly received it. It holds a "Certified Fresh" 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and was described as "Sillier and more propulsive than the first, Sisu: Road to Revenge crafts some of the craziest fight set pieces ever put to screen," by Zachery Lee.
