Simon Cowell Awards His Final Golden Buzzer of AGT 21 to Rubén Roldán Bustos
On Night 4 of auditions for Season 21, 23-year-old Rubén Roldán Bustos from Spain delivered a parkour routine that stood out for its ambition and skill. A friend translated for him, explaining that Bustos wanted to show that limits are in our minds and that he would break those limits on stage.
Before beginning, Bustos revealed that one of his legs is prosthetic, then removed it and completed the entire parkour performance on a single leg. He leapt handrail to handrail, took a bike to a lift, demonstrated gymnastic moves on bars, climbed a vertical structure and finished with a handstand, earning a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges.
Judge Sofía Vergara praised the act, saying, "Wow, wow, wow, Ruben, espectacular, benissimo," and asked about his limb difference. Bustos said he had an accident with a tractor as a child while living in the countryside. Simon Cowell leaned across Vergara to press the Golden Buzzer, sending Bustos to the Live Shows.
