Silo season 3 arrives July 3 — a strong Severance stand-in
It’s been nearly 15 months since Severance season 2 ended and there’s still no release date for season 3. Adam Scott said that delay was too long and the Severance team plans to release the new season sooner, but shooting hasn’t begun yet, so a 2027 return is the earliest possibility.
In the meantime, Apple will release Silo season 3 on July 3 — a timely option for fans of twisty sci‑fi. Silo adapts Hugh Howey’s Wool books and is set in a massive underground complex that houses 10,000 people. The Silo’s age and the disaster that made the outside world uninhabitable are unknown.
People in charge have far more information than everyone else and respond poorly to questions about their traditions. A mix of retro and futuristic tech, plus hints of possible memory manipulation, gives the show a similar uneasy tone to Severance, though its mood is more dramatic than Prime Video’s Fallout.
