Silent Hill remake team announces Star Trek sci-fi thriller

Bloober Team and Paramount Games Studio revealed Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, a new sci-fi psychological thriller set in the Star Trek universe. The game stars Ro Laren, the Bajoran officer familiar to Next Generation viewers, who will be voiced by Michelle Forbes.

The story places Ro on an uncharted planet after she answers a distress call and crash-lands on what is described as a spaceship graveyard where nothing is as it seems. As she explores the planet’s corrupted surface and encounters other survivors, she must contend with twisted creatures, a hostile ecosystem and an entity that seeks to envelop her body and mind.

A teaser trailer raises more questions than answers, and the project marks Bloober’s return to sci-fi following Observer and Cronos: The New Dawn. The studio also has several other projects in progress, including an asymmetric multiplayer horror game based on the Saw franchise, a remake of the original Silent Hill and Layers of Fear 3.
