Sidney Raskind on his 15-year journey to TikTok success

At VidCon 2026, Sidney Raskind described the 15-year path that led him from a dislike of desk work to a career making videos online. He longed to be a YouTuber and eventually found a format that clicked.

Persistence played a central role. "I used to say spite," he joked, and he echoed advice from Seth Rogen: "If you stop, you won't, you will always not get there. But if you keep trying and you keep going, then there is a possibility that you will get there." It took him 15 years to figure out the content format and general understanding until it worked.

Raskind grew his audience with life-hack clips and recurring "things I didn't know until I was in my 30s" videos, reaching 4.6 million followers on TikTok and becoming a featured creator at VidCon. His simple summation: "I just never stopped stopping, as they say in 'Popstar.'"
