Shaun the Sheep Turns Mad Scientist in Halloween Trailer
The third Shaun the Sheep movie is headed to theaters this fall. Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, a Halloween-themed adventure, opens on Sept. 18, 2026.
A new trailer shows Shaun turning full mad scientist after the clumsy Farmer trashes the flock's beloved pumpkin patch. With the Farmer missing and a wild beast roaming the woods of Mossingham, the situation quickly spirals out of control and the flock must venture into the woods to capture the creature.
The film is directed by long-serving Aardman collaborators Steve Cox and Matthew Walker in their feature debuts, and co-written by Mark Burton and Giles Pilbrow, based on characters by Nick Park.
Continuing a 50-year legacy, Aardman's handcrafted stop-motion animation brings its trademark mischievous comedy and family-friendly storytelling to the latest Shaun adventure. The movie will be released by GKIDS (US), Sky UK (UK) and StudioCanal (International), and Shaun shows no sign of being put out to pasture.
