Sharplink Buys ETH for First Time in 8 Months
Ether treasury company Sharplink bought Ether for the first time in eight months after a wallet tied to the firm received 5,000 ETH, worth about $7.85 million, from crypto prime brokerage FalconX on Thursday. The last time FalconX sent Ether to the wallet was Oct.
26, when Sharplink acquired $78.3 million worth of ETH. The purchase coincided with Ether slipping to $1,537 on Thursday, its lowest price in 2026, and could signal a revival of Sharplink’s active accumulation strategy. "I’m seeing genuine corporate accumulation conviction holding strong amid subdued price action," said Andri Fauzan Adziima, research lead at Bitrue Research Institute.
In May, CEO Joseph Chalom highlighted three potential catalysts for Ether’s price growth: passage of the CLARITY Act in the US; a return of market risk appetite tied to easing geopolitical tensions and a cooling of the AI investment thesis; and continued growth in real-world asset tokenization.
