Shadowheart's endless moans send players digging for a Baldur's Gate 3 fix

A Baldur's Gate 3 player posted a clip of Shadowheart repeatedly moaning while the party explored, the sound carrying like a loudspeaker. The poster, Reddit user Akereth, said the issue began after their character received an Illithid power earlier in the scene.

An hour after the post, Akereth found that fast travelling to a new location stops the moaning — the same workaround another Redditor discovered months earlier. The clip drew more curiosity than solutions, with some players asking for instructions to recreate the phenomenon.

Replies ranged from requests to document the steps — "Please detail the exact steps to achieve this 'bug'" — to amusement, including RogueShroom's quip: "Steak too juicy, lobster too buttery." Several players suggested the issue might be tied to accepting and canceling Illithid powers, and one reported hearing the same behaviour from Gale.
