Seth Rogen Rebooting The Littlest Hobo
Seth Rogen and his longtime creative partner Evan Goldberg are setting their sights on reviving The Littlest Hobo, working alongside Crave to bring the series back for a new generation. The idea dates to a 1958 film that inspired a 1963 Canadian TV series, and a 1979 reimagining that ran for six seasons.
Previous versions followed a highly intelligent German Shepherd who travels from town to town, helping people in need. Rogen and Goldberg said, "The Littlest Hobo was a foundational show of our childhood. We are thrilled to have the honor of bringing it back for a new generation alongside our partners at Crave.
And though the hobo may be little, we promise big things to come. That doesn’t mean the dog will be huge like Clifford. The hobo will still be little. But the adventures will be Big." Rogen, who got his start in Canada before moving to Los Angeles after landing a role on Freaks and Geeks, has cited Canadian media such as The Littlest Hobo as an influence.
