Serhou Guirassy's future at Borussia Dortmund remains uncertain, but he has reportedly ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia this summer. Saudi Pro League clubs are said to be spending less than in previous years, and his brother and agent, Karamba, has allegedly offered him to Middle Eastern teams on several occasions.

The Saudi transfer window does not open until 22 July, and both the 30-year-old and the club want clarity before then. Guirassy now aims to stay in Europe's top tier, with Fenerbahçe Istanbul and Aston Villa among the clubs that have shown interest. Neither side appears among those able to trigger his €35 million release clause this summer.

Dortmund intend to keep him: his contract runs until 2028, and sporting director Lars Ricken said, "We have no intention of letting him go. He has impressively demonstrated his value to Borussia Dortmund over the last two seasons." Club officials have outlined plans to sign a high-calibre attacking partner to help integrate Guirassy more effectively.
