Focus Features has released the first trailer for Sense and Sensibility, directed by Georgia Oakley. The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, and will open in the United Kingdom on September 25 before arriving in North America on October 16.

The project was announced in June 2025, with filming beginning the following month. Produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films, the company behind several Austen adaptations, the team previously brought audiences 2005’s Pride & Prejudice with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen, the 2020 Emma and the Bridget Jones films, with Bridget Jones’ Diary framed as a modern reimagining of Pride & Prejudice.
