A secret “bad” ending in Mina the Hollower has been discovered. It’s extremely difficult to trigger and noticeably bleak. The game normally only has one ending unless a player meticulously avoids a long list of specific actions throughout an entire run. In a pivotal banquet cutscene before the final dungeon, Lionel recites a catalogue of crimes and sins the game has tracked — from accidentally killing a leaf man to breaking candles or taking a present from an orphan.

In a typical playthrough Mina endures the criticism, is thrown out a window, and heads for the final dungeon. If the player has truly committed no sins, the dialogue changes and Mina is offered a choice. A YouTube account named “Registered Just To Post This” uploaded a run just over 16 minutes long on New Game+ with modifiers that reportedly avoids every listed crime.
